About the Carmelo Parent Organization

  • The CPO's mission is to support our teachers, students, and parents by providing money for classroom materials, offering monthly enrichment activities and hosting community building events.

    We follow Parliamentary Procedure and Roberts Rule of Order

    Any single person can add an item to the agenda up to one week prior to a board meeting. If you would like to add something to the agenda, feel free to email us here.

  • All parents or guardians with a child enrolled in Carmelo Child Development Center as well as teachers and staff, are a part of the Carmelo Parent Organization and welcome to monthly meetings where we decide how to fundraise and how to best support our community.

    Monthly meetings, of the 2024-2025 school year, well be held in person and via zoom at 5:00 pm in the Carmelo School Library. Infants and pre-toddlers are more than welcome in the meeting. Child care and pizza dinner will be provided for all.

  • Christina Bell - President

    This is the second year Christina has been President of the CPO and her kids have been going to Carmelo since 2021. Her youngest son is in room 5.

    This is Rachel’s first year in CPO and her family’s second year at Carmelo. Her older son James is in room 5, and little brother Luca will attending someday soon!

  • Amanda Beiderwell - Treasurer

    Amanda and her family are new to Carmelo, and are so excited to be a part of this community! Amanda’s son is in room 3.

    This is Magdalena's first year at Carmelo, and her son is in Room 8.

  • Karmina Beltran - Enrichment Coordinator

    Amira will be a third generation CUSD alumni, and we are so happy to be a part of this community 💕 We are in room 5!

  • Needed: Spirit Wear Coordinator

    The spirit wear coordinator helps design sell and deliver spirit wear! Please contact us if you would like to fill this position.

  • Needed: Hospitality Coordinator

    The hospitality coordinator ensures our admin staff are celebrated, and teachers get little appreciation treats or bagels quarterly. Please contact us if you would like to fill this position.
